Tonight is the opening of my very first exhibition since graduating from college. You could say that I'm excited... and little nervous... but mostly excited. Luckily, only half the work is mine (whew! pressure sorta divided) as the exhibit is a collaboration with my friend and talented photographer Ann Arbor Miller. The show is called Parallels: A Curious Pairing of Photographs by Ann Arbor Miller and Britta Trygstad. Expect nine very quiet, sorta modern and very curious pairings of photographs by Ann Arbor and myself. Of course, much credit goes to Denise Knudson of DK Custom Framing @ Gallery 14 for the encouragement and for allowing us to cover her walls (and making our prints look awesome and framed).
We would love if you could join us for the opening reception. Here's the what, when, where and why's of the thing:
What: Well, you know, Parallels: A Curious Pairing of Photographs by Ann Arbor Miller and Britta Trygstad opening reception When: Tonight (August 4th) from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Where: DK Custom Framing @ Gallery 14 - 14 Roberts Street, Fargo Why (should you come): Because you're awesome and I will be bringing making bacon-wrapped little smokies for your enjoyment.
If you can't catch the show tonight, make sure to stop by DK's space sometime within the month of August. The show will be until August 31st. If you are able to catch the show tonight or this month, make sure to let us know how you enjoyed the show. We hope this to be one of many collaborations between Ann Arbor and myself.
