Oh, Stella. Baby Stella. Precious, beautiful, brand new Stella. Yet another long, dark haired newborn beauty that’s totally swoon worthy.

I had to get a a picture of big brother Evan, even if he wasn’t up for it. Next time, little man, next time! PS: Charlie and Jessica are the best parents. So loving.

So, yes. Expect lots and lots of posts in the next few weeks as I try to catch up.

Now, back to Xander… because, after all, this post is about him….well, and his awesome parents too. A few years ago, I had the honor of photographing Jen and Jerry’s wedding. Since then, I’ve declared them one of my favorite couples. They’re cool, laid back and awesome all around. So, imagine my excitement when I found out they were having a kiddo. Now amplify that by 5 when they asked me to photograph their 6-month babe in March. I was one happy camper.

I’m a big fan of Xander. He is charming, smiley and cool. Couple that with his (nearly) bald head and HUGE brown-hazel eyes, and you have yourself a total heart breaker.

I’m borderline obsessed with Pinterest. Okay, not even borderline. Really, I’m full-blown, crazy-looney, pin-until-midnight obsessed. Since May 16, 2011, I’ve pinned 3,430+ items into 48 boards. And through all the Pinterest growing pains–slow site, unable to pin, spam–I’ve remained loyal pinner. Why? Because Pinterest is awesome.

Apparently, I’m not the only one who thinks this. Pinterest usage has exploded since 2011. Now, everyone from the hippest Brooklynite to your best friend’s grandma has discovered the power of pinning. It’s a great way to catalog randomness, unearth new trends, find inspiration and even share concepts and ideas. From recipes to modern art, Pinterest has it all. Best of all, you can curate your own content, share with others, and follow the boards you like.

Everyone has their own uses for Pinterest (and trust me, if you’re getting married GET ON PINTEREST NOW!). I tend to pin a lot of modern art, architecture, photojournalism, fashion, food, sewing stuff and graphic design.

Ahh. Cuteness.

It was a rainy day in Minneapolis during our session a few weeks ago, but somehow we completely lucked out and were hit by just a few sprinkles. Tanya and Greg live right downtown, so it was fun to explore their neighborhood with them. We also had  a blast exploring Gold Medal Park and the Old Mill Ruins, which is always a treat. What a wonderful area to photograph and to hang out!

Tanya and Greg, you are adorable. And I can’t wait to meet your adorable baby in July!

So, why all the bumps this week? Well, as you know Sunday is Mother’s day. And, well, the traditional route of becoming a mother is by becoming pregnant. So, this week we are celebrating that beautiful stage – in all its round awesomeness.

Now, Bethany… beautiful, beautiful, Bethany. This lovely lady is set to pop any day now, and I can’t wait to meet her little girl. There is no doubt she’ll be welcomed into a house of love and the slightest bit of goofiness.

2. Cute, little lips.

I don’t know what it is – there is just something instantly adorable about those two things. And Mister Porter? Well, he has both. He’s also incredibly adorable. But, it’s no wonder. His mum and pop are pretty cute too.

Oh, and sorry… I couldn’t resist…

Porter’s parents purchased the A Year in the Life collection, which means they received three sessions within one year (plus discounted additional sessions). I can’t wait to watch this little guy grow!

You may not know this about me, but my favorite Bob Dylan song of all time is “Leopard-Skin Pillbox Hat.” It’s true. And ever since I first heard that song, I knew that someday I’m wear my very own brand new leopard-skin pill-box hat.

Yes, I’m a dork.

Anywho, this Saturday is the Plains Art Museum’s 16th Annual Spring Gala. This year’s theme? Well, hats of course! I’m so excited to see what everyone comes up with. I’m sure they’ll be some crazy, awesome hats.
