Truly, a journal.

I have a hunch that blogs are going to be en vogue again. Or, maybe they’ll be more like vinyl records; not for everyone, but adored by a few devoted readers. At least that’s what I’m hoping. You see, I’m TWO WHOLE DAYS into a social media break and I’ve had about three hundred realizations. One of them is that I get a whole lot done without checking Instagram 30 times a day. Also, I really want fewer things from Amazon. Targeted advertising works on me, folks.

The most exciting realization has been that I really want to concentrate more energy on the Britta the Photographer journal. Why the heck shouldn't I reclaim this little place of the internet as my home to articulate thoughts, show work and share ideas on a consistent basis? This means posting more than the occasional 8 photos from a recent session (which, let's be honest, I’m a turd at doing anyway).

So, here, right now, I’m making a commitment this summer to post two journal entries a week. Some posts may be profound, most likely won’t be. But I hope you come along for the ride anyway. You’ll likely see lots of pictures of our dog, Rosie.
