Evan & Abby | Minnesota Wedding Photographer

When Evan and Abby met with me in late 2016, they asked me if I would mind NOT taking the traditional portraits in the church. Without hesitation (and maybe a little too much glee) I proclaimed "Oh, my, gosh - I DO NOT MIND AT ALL!" You see, I started off my career as second shooter, and for the seven years I worked for Milestones Photography, that was my primary job. I became pretty good at it. Second shooting allowed me to do what I love to do: documenting moments and telling the story through images. When I started Britta the Photographer, I had to leave second shooting behind. Honestly, I've been a little sad about it. So, when Evan and Abby told me that they had a family friend photographing traditional portraits, I was overjoyed.Oh, but that wasn't all - they also wanted a second photographer. It just so happens that my pal and now co-business owner, Penny, was available. So, for the first time, we were able to document a day together the way we envisioned for Here's to the Hearts. It was pretty awesome and we learned a lot. But, enough about me and my second-shooter giddy-ness. Let's talk about Evan and Abby! They were adorably nervous before their first look. You could tell from the moment they saw each other, that nervousness faded. They were ready to get things done and get hitched! Their day from start to finish was a celebration. Their friends were excited. Their families were thrilled. And Evan and Abby were adorable throughout.
